OK Service. Clean Atmosphere. Likely to Visit Again: No Suggestions :Servers should be more attentive. Since the Dine LA event is from July 14th - 28th, we chose to choose a restaurant from Dine LA's list. So we decided to eat at L'Assiette Steak Frites. I had never been there before, but a few of my friends had. They said it was a really good place and the food was great, so of course, my expectations were high. Like many of the restaurant on Melrose, the outside looked very small - and even though it was, the atmosphere was very elegant with an intimate setting. There was high-table seating at the front to fit all 11 of us comfortably. MENU For the Dine LA Event, L'Assiette Steak Frites offered a four course meal for $39 a perso

Planning My Next Adventure

Hello Humans! So, I've been trying to plan my next adventure to Seattle and New York, but I am at my wits end. I know it shouldn't be this hard just to book this shit, but I'm trying to find the most affordable rates on flights and hotels. First Up: Seattle I'm going in a few months, just for a couple days and I've never been before. I was thinking of renting a car, but after much debate and recommendations from friends, I decided to look for a hotel in Downtown Seattle and just walk or use public transportation if needed (and if all else is fails, there's always Uber right)? Finding a hotel doesn't seem that bad, it's just finding an affordable flight. Every time I chose a flight time it ends up raising $100 more each way, for the time I want. Otherwise, I'd have to fly out at 6am, which is not the bizness. I've been on Expedia, Hotels.com, and AAA with no luck. And can I just say that AAA really needs to update the travel section of their w

To celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, my husband and I decided to try something new. So we headed to Bar Celona Modern Spanish Tapas Bar in Pasadena, CA. We arrived at 5:30pm, just in time for Happy Hour which was from 4pm to 7pm (on Friday's). In front of the restaurant were a few tables and chairs for outdoor eating. Inside was a bar style vibe with a row of two-seater tables on one wall and a large bar on the other.  There were also lounging couches with small tables throughout the remainder of the space. There was a big screen in the back of the restaurant

It's My Anniversary!

Today marks me and my husband's 15 year wedding anniversary . While that may seem like a long time to many, it honestly just feels like it was yesterday. Where has the time gone? I'm still in awe when I think about our wedding, because it didn't happen like you would expect it to. Everyone always assumes that we had this lavish ceremony and reception, so imagine their surprise when we tell them that we eloped after only 8 months of dating. Yep. 8 months. And no...we weren't friends for years before then. We didn't even know "of "each other. We literally started dating from the moment we met. It was 'love at first sight.' Picture it: Las Vegas, July 7, 2002. I was 20 and he was 24. I remember the day before we got married, I surprised him with a hotel room at the Flamingo. The suite was amazing. The windows were floor to ceiling and we had the view of the strip, which was spectacular with all the lights at night. Since it was the middle of

EDC 2017 Experience

If you’ve read my first blog post , you know that I had the time of my LIFE at EDC 2017. Major life changer for me. So I decided to create a new post for those that wanted to know what each day was like. I’ll also give you some TIPS and MUST HAVE’S at the end. FRIDAY, JUNE 16, 2017 – DAY 1 Highlights: Zedd I woke up at 7am (my usual time), but knowing that I’d be out all night, I wanted to sleep in. That didn’t happen. My hubster and I arrived at the Cannery Hotel at noon. We wanted to see if we could get an early check-in so that we weren’t rushing to get ready. Luckily our room was available. The front desk agent told us that there were buses off property that can take us to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway free of charge . We contemplated this thought as we got ready and eventually decided to take advantage of the free ride. We left the hotel at 6pm and drove about 5 minutes down the road to Craig Ranch Park, which is where the buses were doing pickups. We parked ou
